Fire Prevention
Fire Prevention Officer and retired Assistant Fire Chief William O'Hara oversees the Fire Prevention program for WRJFD. Programs can be tailored to any age and any size group. With the help of our firefighters, Fireman Bill will demonstrate how smoke detectors work, what to expect if there is an emergency in your home, how to create an escape plan with your family, recognizing fire hazards, and much more. Firefighters can bring a fire engine to your school or community event and discuss the usage for the different equipment on the vehicle. Programs can also be delivered at the fire stations upon request. For more information, call 330-757-8268.
